1. Ensures all walk-in customers are handled in an efficient and professional manner to satisfy (not all inclusive list):
- walk in order requirements
- product & application questions
- pricing enquiries/request for quotation
- demonstration and product show
- queries/complaints
- stock availability
- delivery status
2. Takes ownership of RTD sales and be proactive towards sales opportunities; keeps self updated on local market trends and provides advice to Branch Manager on any change in market conditions so that the same may be reflected in the sales plans.
3. Ensures self is up to date on product knowledge, store is well equipped in terms of infrastructure support and business tools (systems, product literature, samples, etc.) so that sales operations is not affected; request for assistance, if required.
4. Ensures adherence to operational standards, product display standards, company procedures, system, and policies are maintained to the highest level.
5. Acts as a central point of contact between Purchase, Production, Logistics and Stores in order to ensure timely schedule of deliveries.
6. Actively follow-up and coordinate the following to optimise the full order entry process:
• Credit Control - any outstanding payment issues.
• Production, Purchasing and Fabrication - pending material/orders.
• Stores & Yard - pick slip completion
7. Keeps customers informed of the progress of their orders and ensure that they are notified of any possible delays.
8. Communicates to Supervisor customer feedback received on price / product quality / overall experience in dealing with HPME service so that necessary action may be initiated to enhance customer satisfaction.
9. Registers customer complaints and follows up with relevant departments to resolve the same within standard response deadlines.
10. Maintains an active database of customers to identify high / medium / value customers; makes enquiries to check on potential sales opportunities.
11. To maintain additional tasks as identified by team leader, in areas such as:
• administration
• proper fulfillment of the reporting of activity (customer visits, lost opportunities etc.)
• sales
• quality
• training & development
• cleanliness outside/ inside the RTD branch
