Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serves as subject matter expert (SME) of assigned HES&S Risk Management topics and issues across Oman.
• Assists in development, review and revision process for HES&S Risk Management Standard, Procedures and Guidelines to minimize associated hazards and risks from the health, safety, environmental, and financial perspective.
• Provides technical HES Risk Engineering input and support for implementation and conformance with the HES&S Risk Management Procedures for assigned Assets, New Ventures, and Major Projects to minimize associated hazards and risks from the health, safety, environmental, and financial perspective.
• Validates and consolidates information on HES Risks for assigned Assets and New Ventures.
• Assists in preparation of HES Risk Management reports.
• Informs and advises HES Risk Manager of HES&S Risk Management efforts and any non-conformance with the HES&S Risk Management Procedures.
• Ensures proficient use of HES&S Risk Management software applications and online subscription services (e.g., Dyadem PHAPro for OOG hazard review documentation software, IHS for access to industry codes and standards).
• Leads and participates in hazard identification activities, process hazard reviews, qualitative risk analyses, and resolution of risk engineering and risk management issues to minimize associated hazards and risks from the health, safety, environmental, and financial perspective.
• Coordinates and provides technical direction and support for quantitative risk analysis activities to minimize associated hazards and risks from the health, safety, environmental, and financial perspective.
• Performs/coordinates consequence modelling for toxic releases, fires, and blast overpressures using OOG HES&S Risk Management software tools and applications (e.g., Safer Systems TRACE, BakerRisk Explosion Risk Consortium (ERC) Tools) to minimize associated hazards and risks from the health, safety, environmental, and financial perspective.
• Mentors risk engineering personnel with specific HES Risk Engineering and Management responsibilities.
