SUMMARY
Responsible for review and monitoring of landscape design activities and coordination of technical issues with focus on specific projects, as well as to assist with internal investigation, design and development of community issues. Ensure construction complies with design intent.
Act in a Design Manager role.
Have landscape architectural project experience with large scale master planned developments (both in terms of design coordination and construction) as well as in the environmental and sustainable design issues associated with such projects.
Coordinate / manage consultants, review designs (drawings, specifications and reports) and make recommendations accordingly (to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements).
Prepare Requests For Proposals (RFPs) including technical design scopes for consultants and identify design elements and deliverables to be undertaken.
Prepare information packages for projects to issue to consultants and other project participants.
Evaluate consultant proposals and actively contribute and provide advice to Project Team’s leadership.
Assign tasks to design consultants based on project needs.
Carry out design review and contribute to coordinated design program for projects.
Evaluate, monitor and in some cases prepare Request For Change (RFC) in resolving design related issues identified within delivery of projects.
Work with Project Team to create or modify design documents.
Programme and monitor progress of design and regularly update design progress to the Project Team to ensure design quality is maintained.
Ensure team is using project specific standards and that the design effort is progressing in the most efficient manner possible.
Ensure best practices in Landscape Architectural design where relevant.
Maintain and develop Design Guidelines and Standards.
Liaise with statutory authorities to secure design approvals.
Properly use the document management system.
Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work.

Ensure design and construction is in accordance with agreed budgets
