JOB PURPOSE:
Representing the company at various Customs Points, Border Posts, Government Agencies and Service Providers to ensure smooth timely movement of the incoming and outgoing cargo. This needs to be done in a fair and transparent manner considering and respecting the laws of the land.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specify the output required from the job. Identify not more than 7 Key Responsibilities & their performance indicators. NB-Focus on outcomes not tasks.
1- CUSTOMS CLEARANCE: Ensure timely Customs Clearances. Representation at all Customs Points / Border Posts and locations as required by the management from time to time. This includes clearances by Air, Sea & Road. If required, liaise with Border Posts/Customs Points across the Border (within GCC).
2- DUTIES AND PAYMENTS Be vigilant and ensure correct and timely payment of customs/shipping agent charges.
3-RE-EXPORTS Proper re-export documentation with faster submission and refund of Re-Export Claims, if any.
4-DOCUMENTATION Ensure proper documentation in line with customs laws /regulations with focus on duty free clearances.
