Purpose:
Manage the Commercial Vehicle Sales Department by Supervising/guiding the front line sales team to meet their individual sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the Brand / Division.
Summary of the Job Role:
Meet the planned Sales targets of the Brand/Division.
Supervise the team of Sales and Senior Sales Executives to meet their individual sales targets of the Division.
Oversee showroom and field sales activities. Ensure retail standards of the Brand are met consistently for a superior customer experience. Ensure execution of marketing activities as per plan.
Ensure that the team follows a process where sales transactions are completed in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures for cash, credit or installment sales.
Authorities:
- Test Drives: Authorize short and long test drives.
- Financial: Authorize further discounts for customer deals to enable closure. - People: Training and development of reportees.
Key Outputs: Sales
- Supervise, guide and support the sales team in meeting their individual targets and the overall Division targets.
- Ensure that the Sales team follows the processes laid down with regards to deal documentation, test drives and third party coordination.
- Assist the Sales Executives in advanced interaction and negotiation with customers in showroom and field for closing deals.
- Ensure that execution of marketing activities is carried out as stipulated to meet the desired objectives.
- Serve as escalation point for post-sales issues of customers with regards to Service and Parts. Coordinate with counterparts in Service and Parts Dept wherever necessary for resolution of such issues.
Management:
- Ensure that vehicle showroom meets the retail standards of the brand, displays are in order and overall maintenance of the showroom property. - Vehicle stock is preserved physically and accurate records are maintained of the incoming, outgoing and inter-branch transfers.
- Provide regular inputs to Sales Manager / Management with regards to competition on-the-ground and suggest counter measures wherever possible
- Provide regular MIS to Sales Manager / Management with regards to the Prospective Customers, Projected Sales, Stock Statement and Outstanding Documentation.
