A western upstream oil and gas company is seeking an operations engineer with at least 5 years' experience in oil & gas operations/process with at least 3 years in operations in the field preferably with process equipment experience.
Job responsibilities
Main task would be to gain in house understanding of the surface operations, especially process related, in a non-operated asset and to be able to verify and/or challenge the operator's plans for future installations as well as additions to existing ones.
Regular visits to the field are required as well as regular meetings with the operator.
Job responsibilities:
• Review the operator's surface operations and process proposals
• Review existing surface facilities design
• Review and follow up on asset integrity and process safety issues and their mitigations
• Compile reporting to Head Office, partners and Ministry of Oil and gas
Desired skills;
• Good knowledge in surface operations and planning
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
• Very good MS office skills especially excel
• Ability to learn quickly
The position is open to Omanis only.
