JOB SUMMARY
The Purpose of this role is to estimate and manage structural steel & sheet metal fabrication (Windows, glass, Sheets, rods, moulds, building materials etc.); achieving timeliness, quality, customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe work environment. The incumbent will also be responsible to follow the company business strategies to make the Company a preferred brand of choice for the customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and generate business. Network and establish/maintain customer relationships
• Research customers' projects, prepare bids and submit the proposal with the permission of the General Manager
• Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors and equipment needed for the contract
• Raise requisition for the necessary tools and materials for various projects and monitor the delivery of supplies
• Oversee the sheet metal shop, ensure supplies and equipment are placed, stored and maintained in a clean, & safe environment
• Supervise and lead the group of fabrication and maintenance workers at Abwab
• Develop work schedules for the workers as per the job requirements
• Oversee & coordinate with foreman - welding to ensure timely completion of the project
• Coordinate shop drawing process (detailer, AutoCAD department & customer drawings)
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers, if necessary
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Inspects work in progress and completed work to assure compliance with quality guidelines and established procedures
• Ensure quality of the products with minimum wastage
• Promote safety in the workplace through regular training and safety meetings
• Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of fabrication results
Educational Qualification - Diploma in Fabrication / Sheet Metal / Welding
Experience - 4 to 5 years in Fabrication supervisory role along with good technical knowledge about the fabrication process
