The IT Infrastructure department is responsible for the Plan, Design, build and, governance, quality & operate IT Datacenter, Critical IT systems & IT applications, Storage Area Network, IT Enterprise LAN, WAN & WLAN, Virtual Infrastructure, Database Management, Backup & Restore of all IT systems & applications data.
The department is committed to ensure the effective quality, governance of IT capacity planning, design, implementation, operations and optimization of (but not limited to) servers, applications, storage, operating system, databases, virtualization, cloud computing, backup, archiving in alignment with the organization, group roadmaps and unify roadmap.
Keen in planning, designing, deploying, governing and operating of the company's Employees Active Directory service, Email Service, Print Service, Shared Resources, all backend IT systems including the Hardware, Client & Server Operating systems, IT applications, Database, IIS Application, LAN, WLAN, PABX, IVR CC VDI systems.
The department is focused for providing enterprise solutions for all IT systems and applications infrastructure with the Plan, Build and deploy strategy of essential components such as process, policies, human resources and external contacts for overall effectiveness

Governance & Quality:
Utilize the monitoring applications to track performance of all IT Database infrastructure and databases, logs & applications
To promptly respond to support the needs of the business users when database outages occur
To have both an internal focus to support IT, and an external focus, through which business users are seen as their direct customers.
Maintains the operational integrity of the technologies and services provided & keeps hardware and software functioning.
Monitor the tables inside the databases and commands for audit purpose
Monitor the logs growth and transaction logs
Ensuring the databases are protected and backed up regularly
Maintain existing policies and procedures for achieving operational objectives and also to enhance and establish new based on internal approval process
Ensure compliance with all internal organization standards as a step towards sustained quality of service
Carry out Application maintenance activities
Maintaining the integrity and security of all IT Applications to ensure that access is allowed only to authorized users.
Oversee the set-up, configuration, and maintenance of the databases which supports the ESS, BSS & OSS applications and database infrastructural and applications server.
Responsible for ensuring the full security of IT databases and systems internally and externally maintaining the 100% integrity throughout for the managed systems end to end monitoring, operations and involvement in implementation & configuration of ESS, BSS, OSS & Database Infrastructure.
Administration, Operations & Performance Monitoring
Works in both MS SQL Server Database Administrator and Database Developer capacity.
Undertake the day to day Administration of MS SQL Server databases; keeping them live for 24 hours; ensuring correct backup and restore strategy; capacity planning for residing databases
Undertake Administrative tasks including: data synchronization, data migrations, data corrections;
Development, maintenance and optimization for MS SQL Server Database, databases queries and procedures, MS SQL Server Integration Services (MS SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (MS SSRS)
Closely working with IT support team for resolving issues related to MS SQL Server databases
Occasional database related development on Oracle and Teradata, especially for Data Warehouse (DWH) extracts; Development of certain projects and reports requiring data from multiple source systems.
Developing, maintaining and optimizing Operational Data Store (ODS) for Online Prepaid Call History, which includes loading CDRs (Call Detail Records) to partitioned tables in database in normalized format and showing as per user requirement with required transformations.
Developing and maintaining client applications on Data Warehouse (Teradata) using MS SSIS and MS SSRS.
Occasionally working on C#.NET and ASP.NET for some small applications development and maintenance when required.
Occasionally develop and maintain script files on Windows Command Shell and PowerShell scripts as and when required; mainly for administrative tasks, including archiving old files, chiefly backup files and CDR files.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. The DBA works closely with system administration staff because computers often have applications or tools on them in addition to the Oracle Databases.
Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the Oracle database.
Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle.
Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
Performs database re-organisations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
Evaluates releases of Oracle and its tools, and third party products to ensure that the site is running the products that are most appropriate. Planning is also performed by the DBA, along with the application developers and System administrators, to ensure that any new product usage or release upgrade takes place with minimal impact.
Reporting & Vendor Co-ordination
· Provides weekly reports regarding issues and general reports to the Line Manager
· Coordination with ITMS and ADM on Application related deployments
· Highlight project issues to senior management and makes recommendations for improvements.
· Follows up as per the Company processes & procedures
· 3rd party coordination
· Deal with different vendors as per the company process and policies during the selection & implementation of new solutions.
· Ensuring the critical issues raised with the vendors are solved by the vendors as defined in the contract SLA
