Principal duties and responsibilities which indicate general nature of work expected include the following:
• To oversee and ensure that the maintenance and housekeeping team carry-out their operations in
adherence to all established standards, rules and policies.
• Ensure that the high quality services offered by the Maintenance & Housekeeping Office.
• Assigns and supervises workforce performing the preventive maintenance of air-conditioning units, lifts,
fire-fighting equipment and buildings.
• Prepares annual preventive maintenance schedule of facilities and equipment, reports the progress of
the day-to-day performance of the service providers on their corrective maintenance schedules to the
immediate line manager.
• Supervise and coordinate with contractors for the refurbishment project.
• Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as maintenance, cleaning, waste
disposal and pest-control activities
• Ensuring the implementation of relevant policies within the Office.
• Assist in producing reports, procedures, policies, department operational plans (DOPs) for the
Maintenance and Housekeeping Office
• Monitoring and Evaluating the achievement of SMART goals of the Office members to achieve the DOP
and hence the institutional KPIs.
Planning optimal allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or re-organizing
current premises;
• Monitoring effective completion of the work done by staff or contractors and following up on any
deficiencies;
• Other duties as assigned from time to time within the scope of the job role.
• Any other duty which may be assigned on temporary basis in the interest of college work.
