specific academic departments.

• Coordinating with faculty from other departments to know their writing requirements and developing
the centre’s writing curriculum according to student needs.
• Ensuring that the various activities undertaken by the department are in compliance with the policies,
procedures and processes.
• Preparing for IA (Internal Audit) and responding to audit reports
• Planning and conducting awareness sessions during departmental meetings
• Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessment Reports in collaboration with HoD and department faculty
• Recording minutes of meetings (by rotation with CAW faculty)
• Disseminating information related to student surveys (Blitz and MES), feedback from faculty, students
attending workshops, and other quality related activities
• Preparing action plans for quality improvement based on feedback from students and faculty in
consultation with department colleagues
• Maintaining soft copies and hard-copies of department related data
• Assisting the HoD in administrative tasks and representing the department in her absence
Additional roles in the organization
• Proofreading and editing official documents such as college prospectus, The Dhow, college newsletter,
and others, sent from Media, Communication and Admissions Department
• Reviewing research papers and articles authored by staff and students
• Inter-department and college level: Liaising with faculty members of other disciplines/ departments
and contributing to research to inform pedagogy through collection and analysis of data, to understand
the nature of writing requirements of each module being supported by CAW.
• Document student performance across semesters,
• Other duties as assigned from time to time within the scope of the job role.
