Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations of cleaning staff and sub-contracted labour in their duties following distribution of
all jobs for Planned and Reactive works.

Maintain good communication; conduct daily team meetings and grooming inspections with reporting staff
at the start of the shift.

Complete a ‘Hand-over’ process at the beginning and end of your shift. Complete a daily log of tasks/issues
with updates.

Organise out-of-hours emergency work, as required. To immediately report any potential dangerous
situations to your Line Manager.

Deal with emergency situations in a professional manner informing Line Manager immediately.
6
To manage and participate in the provision of services covering a 24 hour/7 day operation.

Conduct routine cleaning inspections (audits), raising any issues with the Cleaning Coordinator.

Responsible for generating, updating/keeping management information/records/reports, as required e.g.
cleaners/operational reports/logs/cleaning contacts/job record cards/work sheets etc.

Get involved in Project Work, Additional Works, as required.

Maintain an efficient Accident Reporting process, keeping all records up to date and filed accordingly.

Support the Line Manager in providing management information and reports with regard to the delivery of
cleaning services.

Supervise and co-coordinator stock control and material inventories, maintaining systems & processes.

Manage staff leave and absence in accordance with agreed Capability Procedure, dealing with any
disciplinary matters in accordance with the Company’s Disciplinary Procedure.

To provide hands on support for all tasks related to Cleaning, as required.

Have a positive attitude and flexible approach to work demands. Coach and direct the soft services team to
ensure that they carry out a professional service.

To generate, update and maintain staff work instructions that comply with all relevant legislation, quality
management system and promote safe working.

Required to attend training programs as necessary to meet the contract requirement and for personal
development.

When on duty, to be accountable and responsible for supervision.

Suggest energy saving campaigns to promote efficient use of energy utilities.

To assist in development of capital replacement programmes for equipment and cleaning products in line
with technological developments.

Suggest improvements which will result in increased income and/or reduce costs.

Attend training sessions or team meetings, as required.

Any reasonable request made by your Line Manager.

Maintain appropriate qualifications and up-to-date trade knowledge, as may be required for safe and
efficient performance of duties.

Support and promote the Company Vision and Values, encouraging good performance with the promotion
