Kerry-AATCO is recruiting for a Research, Development & Applications Specialist (or Food Technologist) to join our Research, Development & Applications (RD&A) team in Sohar, Oman. The position will be responsible for product development and product improvement, particularly in relation to culinary sauces, and supporting internal and external customers, predominantly with Food Service customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Product development, from initiation to launch, conferring with the cross-functional team where appropriate
- Conducting research for the improvement of existing products as well as the development of new products, outlining procedures and specifications
- Interacting and troubleshooting with customers on application concerns
- Understanding key commercial requirements of the Ingredients industry
- Implements industry-recognised methods and keeps up-to-date on best practice requirements
- Leads and/or supports on customer presentations
- Ensures that good laboratory practices and lab protocols are being met including the upkeep of equipment, and general cleaning of work areas
- Follows all health and safety procedures and protocol
