The job holder is responsible for applying accounting principles and control procedures to ensure accounting transactions are carried out appropriately and in line with international accounting standards and Group policies and procedures. This includes liaising with BUs to resolve queries related to accounts/ finance from time to time.
Monitors the completion of all required formalities to ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing processes including clearing of system error accounts and un-posted items and/or items posted by error and completion of the processes within the stipulated timelines Monitors invoice / receipt cancellations and the finance deal completion status
Monitors and ensures timely /intercompany and other reconciliations to facilitate management review. This includes timely clearing of items from the reconciliation report and obtaining a signed off reconciliation statement.
Monitors the control accounts and seek explanation and corrective action from team leaders
