Conduct market research to understand fashion trends, customers, lifestyles, etc
Research and find fabrics and develop fabric archive suitable for our upcoming collection
Visit fashion shows, exhibitions, workshops; pre-define half yearly calendar to visit such events and take approval from the management as per the budget allocation
Develop design concepts for womenswear
Responsible for giving design direction to the team and ensuring design defines the brand completely
Review and approve the sketches, pattern and fabric designs created by the designers
Make pattern CAD drawings
Discuss design concept and tech pack with Pattern Master in case of any doubts, clarification required
Manage a team of designers and outsourcing designing partners
Monitor the workflow and get the things done from the team as per the given timelines
Will work with Merchandiser, Buyer, Online VM, etc for following activities (Sourcing & selection of fabrics, product launch planning and etc.)
