Create “Cutter’s Must Template” for each garment including spec measurement and sewing instructions
Involve in choosing the correct fabric and make sure production remains within the budget
Maintain and improve quality standards of all products, ensuring the quality meets the company and customer requirement
Must have a comprehensive understanding of balance in all aspects of pattern construction in order to apply these principles at all times
Mark samples and finish patterns with information such as garment size, section, style, identification, and sewing instructions
Create patterns by interpreting drawings produced by a fashion designer and given specifications
Discuss design specifications with designers and create patterns that can be laid out on a length of fabric
Work as a coordinator between designers and tailors to make alterations or adjustments to the final pattern
Coordinate with fabric and garment manufacturers to provide assistance or solve any production issues
Train tailors on pattern cutting and stitching as per the style design by the designers
Quality check of the garment produced by the tailors
Take final approval of the patterns created from the design team
