Main Purpose of the Job:
- To be responsible for the Project including Design, Procurement, budget and Hand over of the Project as per the Schedule and Budget.
- Maintaining a close liaison with the Client/Main Contractor to ensure day to day requirements and Deliverables of the Project are met - meeting the client’s expectations.
- To be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets, compliance with KPI’s & SLA’s,
Job Description:
- The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are compatible.
- Coordinate with Internal Resources and Third Parties/Vendors for the Flawless Execution of Project.
- Ensure that Project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Contribute in the definition of Project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Maintain Company Standards in assuring quality control procedure.
- Develop and maintain harmonious relationships between Site Management, Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers.
- Manage resource availability and allocation as per the Project Approved Schedule.
- Prepare Project mobilization Plans and supervise implementation of the same.
- Manage and lead the MEP works acting as the implementer between In-house project team and the Client.
- Monitor the value engineering, design, sub-contractor performance & material selection to ensure the requirements of the Contract and Budget are accomplished.
- Ensure that MEP Engineering works are fully coordinated with the civil, architectural and other sub contract works to meet the Project Schedule and Contract requirements.
- Ensure that the works are installed in accordance with the approved drawings, specifications and other requirements of the contract to the full satisfaction of the Client/Main Contractor.
- Track progress of all aspects of the work to ensure completion on target dates. Notify the Main Contractor team, Client and Sub-Contractor of any delays due to their scope of works.
- Ensure installation inspection & approvals are done on time along with all other Project documentation accurate recording.
- Implement a Project specific quality assurance plan at each stage of the Project.
- Control Project budgets and schedule and oversee performance to ensure on time, quality and on budget project execution.
- Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records, and any variances from the Schedule and/or Project Cost.
- In conjunction with the commercial team manage the commercial and financial issues to maximize the Project profit.
- Optimizes overall staff, manpower, equipment, and materials allocation on site.
- Coordinate the purchase and delivery of required material/equipment to the Projects with the Procurement team for smooth flow of material/equipment as per Project sequence of works.
- Consistently administer Company policies and procedures at the site.
- Ensure that the Engineers, Supervisor, foremen, Charge hands, Technicians adhere to health and safety policies of the company/project requirement.
- Liaise with Client/Main Contractor regarding all additional works, claims and variation orders which must be identified, recorded and claimed according to the Project/Contract conditions.
- Ensure that there is no cost overrun in project and if any, should be escalated to the higher management in advance to mitigate the risk.
- Ensure that Project progress payments are submitted on time and as per contract conditions and secure approval of Progress Certificates from the client authorized signatory.
- Confirm that certified amounts are collected on time with proper follow ups including notification letters when and where required.
- Attend meetings with the Engineer and other parties concerned when required in order to review schedule status and progress of works.
- Maintain proper Project correspondence, as-built record file of all as-built installation, O&M Manuals & spare-parts.
- Supervise the preparation of Project Completion report and submit for Consultant/Main Contractor as per the Project contract conditions.
- Organize Demobilization plan ahead of time to minimize unnecessary additional expenses.
- Will appointed at any location in Sultanate of Oman.
- Any other related job as assigned by superiors.
- SO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System: Understand, promote and comply with HSE policies, procedures and practices throughout the work area to prevent injuries, illness and property damage. Understand HSE risks associated with the work area thru proper risk assessment and corresponding control measures. Promote and practice safety first and accident prevention. Take action on dangerous situations, hazards, non-conformities and incident reporting. Give assistance in correcting unsafe practices, investigating accidents and taking corrective and preventive action. Supervise Lockout & Tag out (LOTO) during electrical work, wearing of PPEs, Emergency Response and Safety procedures & practices, procedures and policies. Communicate to all staff the requirements and compliance of HSE.
- ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System: Manager – Responsible to demonstrate: Context of the organization, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance evaluation and Improvement clauses along with his full team.
