Role and Purpose:
Establish and implement short and long term maintenance plan and schedule for company’s complex in order to ensure that plant equipment are maintained in optimum working condition and to contribute towards improving plant productivity and quality. Supervise the 2-weekly maintenance planning and daily maintenance execution and close-out. Oversee the administration of company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and planning tool (Primavera). Support the turnaround department in planning the turnarounds.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the production of the 2-weeks look ahead plan, daily maintenance execution and close-out.
2. Support 52-weeks, 90-days and 14-days maintenance plan/schedule for the overall company’s complex.
3. Accountable for the preventive maintenance plans (with no critical PM over dues) and critical corrective work; follow up any deviations as per the policies and procedures.
4. Monitor and report the overall maintenance schedules for the plant within the established frequencies (e.g. daily, monthly, quarterly etc.) using best practices and smart KPIs.
5. Develop the annual budget and monitor the budget.
6. Lead detailed maintenance schedule of multi-discipline maintenance activities within the
approved schedule and budget and in accordance with complex HSE policy and procedures.
7. Conduct regular PTW Audit and Safety Audits.
8. Receive all maintenance job orders, confirm their priorities (using the complex RAM), establish and enter their cost estimate and route them to the right maintenance units (Normal or Major Activities).
9. Chair the daily maintenance-operation meeting and follow up the established actions.
10. Coach on the utilization of Primavera P6 tool in Scheduling and Resource Optimization and project lead in the development maintenance asset mater data and migration to new Oracle EAM CMMS system.
11. Monitor and report monthly, the performance
of the company’s General Maintenance Contractor (GMS) through the contractual agreed KPI’s.
12. Support routine and non-routine maintenance
activities in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure plant is operating safely, effectively and efficiently.
13. Lead and prepare work method statements, risk
assessment and / or plant operating instructions ensuring the required level of maintenance to asset is achieved and records maintained.
14. Contribute to site safety as an Authorised Engineer and participate in the duty engineering system for out of hours support.
15. Coach and develop the staff to ensure the minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, cross postings, preparation of a personal
development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal.
