Sales Targets & Sales Planning
• Develops and implements a retail sales strategy in close coordination with the General Manager to achieve the set targets. This includes preparing business plans and an accurate annual vehicle sales forecast in view of previous sales, market conditions and customer needs
• Builds and maintains relationships with key customers / fleet owners to explore and acquire new business opportunities and understand market trends.
• Develops parts strategy for the financial year to set measures and targets. This involves preparing annual parts stock targets for each location.
• Monitors competition and market trends to keep abreast with the trends or gain competitive advantage. This includes working closely with the marketing department to improve sales
Support the Inventory Management process:
• Contributes to the inventory process during the perpetual / annual stock check, for vehicle sales and parts.
Work and maintain all operations within the ISO 9002 and HSE standards set by the company
Pricing and Credit control:
• Monitors and controls credit policies and outstanding dues payment to ensure policies are adhered to and payment is done within the allocated period. This includes ongoing coordination with the Finance department to open credit accounts for customers and ensure relevant documentation is completed and approvals are in order
• Prepares sales reports on a monthly basis to apprise subordinates on sales performance. This includes advising and updating on related areas such as sales projections, current and expected sales, business developments and team performance
• Researches background of prospective customers to facilitate quick rapport and generate interest and credibility
• Understands factors influencing existing customers and any other relevant information provided by the current Business Unit sales team to establish area of influence
