Reports to: Functionally to QA/QC Coordinator and hierarchically to Client Project / Asset Quality Leads
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with Company HSE standards and lifesaving rules. Reinforce the Company HSE requirements to the colleagues / Sub-contractors / Construction Contractors.
Witness and monitor Sub-contractors / Construction Contractors work activities, inspection and test in accordance with the approved Quality Control Plan / ITP, Quality Procedures and Method Statements etc.
Assist review of Sub-contractors and Construction Contractors quality control plans / ITPs and Quality Procedures/Method Statements and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any related work.
Input result of inspection / observations into the web-based inspection recording system in timely manner.
Ensure Sub-contractors /Construction Contractors have relevant, up to date codes, standards, specifications and drawings.
Interface with the discipline engineer, construction engineer, and inspectors in a professional manner.
Oversee inspection of civil and structure activities conducted at fabrication shops and construction sites.
Carry out site visits in production stations to perform visual inspections on concrete structures, buildings, structural steel activities and other civil related items including review of batch certificates & construction procedures.
Review original material / test certificate for compliances to codes and specifications.
Ensure testing, measuring equipment is fully calibrated per specification and has current certification.
Witness in-process inspections per ITP and Inspection Requests to ensure work proceeds in accordance to specifications, the approved drawings.
At all times remain independent and protect the Company interests and fulfill work in full compliance with the Company requirements.
Issue and follow up Non-conformity Report.
Raise punch list and verify punch list items as soon as work is complete.
Identify counterfeit items during inspection or surveillance and report immediately.
Progressively review Sub-contractor’s / Construction Contractor’s quality record.
Assist Quality audit upon request.
Participate in Flawless Project Delivery Programme.
Provide resolution of on-going quality issue in consultation with discipline engineer.
Provide feedback on Sub-contractor/Construction Contractor’s performance.
