Ensure compliance with corporate commercial procedures and standards regarding contracts, tendering and projects
Monitor commercial aspects of projects (owner of commercial procedure) via performance reports, receivables, etc. to ensure project delivery is in-line with contractual client agreements; directly resolve any discrepancies
Ensure accuracy of Value of Work Done reports
Support business units regarding contract design and negotiation (commercial elements) with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors; liaison with central Legal to align involvement
Proactively support Tendering in commercial aspects of tenders
Ensure that clients requests are as per original scope of work and highlight if clients change requests will incur additional costs
Ensure stringent claims management towards clients (receivables collection) in alignment with Accounting (while maintaining good relationships with clients)
Support projects/Business Units in arbitration cases
Make sure project risk assessment is conducted with project management and central risk department
Create reports for internal audit on a project based commercial assessment
Manage, train and develop direct reports and conduct periodic performance reviews
