PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The purpose of this job is to provide a prompt and professional claims payment service ensuring that such payments are controlled, fair and equitable and to settle claims within delegated authority and within prescribed timescales.
TASK OVERVIEW (amongst others):
· To prioritize incoming claims mail and act accordingly referring to relevant authority where required
· To request information and/or documentation from brokers and clients as and when necessary and following up such requests.
· To request and gain approval for surveys where necessary.
· To minimize losses through negotiation with suppliers
· To ensure good customer relations when communicating both in writing and verbally, by telephone or in person.
· To discuss large or complicated claims with the relevant authority where required
· To ensure that all policy files contain up-to-date claims information in the month prior to renewal and when requested.
· To prepare payment orders to facilitate the settlement of claims as and when all such information has been received and liability and quantum has been agreed with the client.
· To 'close off' settled claim files as instructed by the Claims Manager.
· To provide a quality service to clients of other branches where necessary.
· To perform any other related duties as required in order supporting the activities and overall strategic directions in order to ensure the profitability of the Company.
Technical skills:
· A basic knowledge of related activity and processes relating to network providers.
· Broad knowledge of all wordings for policies issued by the Branch
· Comprehensive knowledge on of non motor policies or specializes in Marine and Property insurance.
Academic Qualifications:
· Holds a tertiary education or a Degree qualified.
· Required to have at least 2 years experience in the same field
· Excellent English written and communication skills. Fluency in Arabic language is an advantage.
