„ Assist in the development of a strategy to ensure that MHD complies with the best environmental standards and relevant legislation.
„ Maintain a relationship with the appropriate regulatory bodies to ensure that MHD complies with all relevant standards and legislation.
„ Provide support and advice to other departments in MHD to ensure that they are aware of their obligations in complying with environmental standards.
„ Assist in the coordination of projects to ensure that environmental issues are taken into account.

„ Investigate and report on accidents and related incidents, recommending any changes that may be necessary, to ensure that MHD complies with health and safety regulations.
„ Carry out a risk analysis for MHD and recommend any changes that may be necessary.
„ Maintain good working relationships with insurers and other relevant authorities to ensure that MHD’s interests are safeguarded and a safe and healthy working environment is maintained.
„ Provide any necessary training to managers and staff to ensure that they comply with all health and safety requirements.
