Job objectives and responsibilities:
• Work closely with Audit manager and Group Chief Internal Auditor (Group CIA)
• Independently carry out Internal audits as per audit plan and other audit assignments as directed by group CIA
• Add value by acting as a facilitator in business risk management and business improvement in addition to providing assurance and advisory services
Main duties:
Independently perform and execute financial, operational, compliance and process audits including identifying issues, analyzing evidence and documenting audit work papers.
Responsible for planning, executing and completing audit field work according to established standards of internal audit and The IlA (The Institute of Internal Auditors), Recommending internal control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies.
Prepare Audit reports, ensure finalization of reports with all recommendations agreed and accepted and/ or discussed with the audited individual/group and completion of review within the budgeted timelines and as per prescribed quality standards.
Build relationships with department heads/ auditees across the organization to understand issues and identify areas for improvement for the organization.
Willingness and flexibility to travel as per audit plan (Currently within Oman and UAE and may be up to 50% or more)
Communication and Working Relationships.
Internal: Teamwork with team members in internal audit department and all other divisions across the company
External: As directed by group CIA.
