ASST. GENERAL MANAGER - SALES
Purpose:
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities connected with Industrial gases. Lead the sales team and provide the leadership towards the achievement of customer satisfaction, maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contribute to the all round development of the sales team.
Summary of the Job Role:
• Responsible for Selling of Industrial, Medical, Cooking, High purity, Calibration and Refrigeration gases. Preparation of Tender documents, large proposals, price negotiation and closing the deals; directing and guiding the Asst. Manager, executives and branch heads; gather information on new projects and competitors' activities; review and modify plans based on the available data.
• Control over the Distribution department and ensuring that the deliveries and documentation are done properly.
• Control over the Cylinder Deck ensuring sufficient cylinder/ stocks are maintained and deliveries are arranged smoothly.
• Control over the Transport Department to ensure all vehicle repairs and maintenance are done on time and all necessary permits are up to date.
Key Outputs:
• Develop business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of the company's sales goals and profitability.
• Responsible for the performance of Asst. Manager, Executives and branches ? Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Conduct one to one review with A.M., branch heads and sales & distribution team to build effective communications to understand training and development needs and to provide insight for their improvement in sales activities and performance.
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Develop reliable and reputable overseas suppliers and obtain best deals for overseas purchases.
• Coordinate with Production Manager for timely availability of products also coordinate with Distribution team for timely supply of gases to branches as well as customers.
• Over all Control the Distribution department and ensuring that the deliveries and documentation are done properly.
Qualifications:
• Mechanical/Chemical Engineer or Science graduate with business management.
Experience:
• 10 to 12 experience in related industry.
