Company Brief:


Our Client is a leading multinational company in Freight Forwarding, seeking to recruit a ‘‘CFO’’ to be based in Oman. Position will be reporting to the Country Manager.


 


Job Requirements:


• Professional accountancy qualification or University degree or equivalent (Audit qualification) is required, Master’s Degree, or MBA is a plus


• Minimum 10 years’ experience in various general finance functions accompanied by a wide experience at senior level in a service-oriented business


• Good knowledge of divisional business and Cross-divisional experience


• Used to Manage and lead teams through expertise across several different disciplines within the finance function and has Cross-regional experience


• Will have to define financial strategy at country level and provides key input on the definition of the country’s business strategy considering vertical and horizontal guidelines and objectives


• Direct controlling and accounting for the country to ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations standards


• Define financial goals and monitor their implementation at country level and ensure that a red flag system is in place to report problems in a timely manner


• Develop and approve long term financial planning for the country


• Approve all investments in the country within delegated authority limits


• Ensure that the planning, budgeting and forecasting process complies with overall financial policies and procedures to support the achievement of strategic targets


• Take appropriate measures to remedy financial risk


• Ensure proper billing and cash collection processes are in place in the country


• Analyze complex issues and improve, change or adapt existing financial methods and techniques


• Maintain relationships and provide financial expertise to management board and top-level experts in the organization


• Coordinate budgets for all major country-level projects including integration projects


• Establish clear, challenging and achievable objectives


• Align resources and the organization to achieve objectives


• Regularly review and communicate progress against objectives and adjusts as needed


• Champion continuous improvement and innovation


• Inspire results and respect through empowerment, accountability recognition and rewards
