JOB SUMMARY
To provide need based training to the staff of the plant enabling them to perform their jobs to the expected standards in order to create and maintain a high performance culture in the organization. To ensure that the staff meet the customer requirements, legal requirements, safety and environment requirements by continuous training. To develop a learning environment for the staff to develop incessant learning and development interventions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promoted a learning culture within the new trainees.
• Manage training records and Provide training reports, as requested.
• Act as a focal point for all training activities within the department.
• Participate in the development of the departmental training plan as per policy
• Administer the HO training plan.
• Locate suitable external courses as per the HO training plan, as required.
• Participate in the development of training budgets.
• Develop departmental training procedures.
• Conduct employee knowledge sharing sessions and workshops.
• Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Bachelor in Engineering is a must.
• Post-graduation in Engineering or Specialization Diploma in Engineering/Training is preferred.
• 5 years in Power/Desalination industry in technical training or training administration is needed - Experience in O&M is preferable. Gulf experience is preferred.
• SAP working knowledge is preferred.
• ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge in safety, environment training preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
• Should be able to deliver information to Engineers, Supervisors, and technicians.
• Should possess good communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must be computer Should be well versed in MS-PowerPoint.
