System Architect
• Graduated from electrical, software engineering or similar
• 8+ years work experience, 5 of which in IT enterprise architecture for telecom.
• Proven track of managing IT transition strategy
• Proven track of understanding digital transformation & agile demand model with IT
• Excellent analytical skills
• Coordinate and formulate the IT strategy through interaction with all information technology functions and affected business units.
• order management Design, development and transition
• Define and continue to update the architectural model and standards.
• Preserve current state and future state architectural models, keeping them up-to-date and relevant for active technology portfolio management.
• Update Architectures to reflect developed, delivered and implemented solutions/services to ensure the enterprise architecture models remain current and reflective of the install-base.
• Work closely with IT / Business Leaders across all lines of business to develop business aligned reference architectures; establish global standards and future-state application roadmap, and drives design to achieve global IT objectives.
• Document current Oman architecture, define architecture principles, guidelines & technology standards, and ensure they are used during all design stages.
• Prepare and maintain overall IT systems architecture in alignment with and to support business strategy.
• Leads technology design structuring for end-to-end technology landscape inclusive of: Web, Mobile, Social, ERP, and end-user productivity technologies.
• Participate as an architect in the development, implementation and maintenance of critical business systems.
• Develops systems specifications through requirements gathering, research, analysis and direct contact with business units.
• Participate with Group in discussions and plan for enterprise architecture and target reference architecture for IT.
• Participates in the design and implementation of IT service management standards, tools and methodologies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Solution Design
• Develop pragmatic, commercially feasible solutions, considering all functional as well as non-functional requirements e.g: performance, capacity, accessibility, security and usability.
• Examine the business requirements and define how the IT solutions would address those requirements. Specify and design technical solutions.
• Provide specified customized solutions, covering several products and interfaces
• Manage products/solutions life cycle and evolvement of the implemented solution.
• Provide/Author solutions design
• Participate in project meetings with stakeholders when needed.
• Map business requirements to functionalities, perform gap analysis and provide solutions for customer business requirements.
• Ensure user experience of end solution meets original intent and is highest possible quality.
• Integration of critical systems with other critical systems
• Business stakeholder satisfaction with IT functionality resulting from enterprise-wide program implementation
• Reuse of critical systems.
• Achieve SOA strategic goals/benefits within IT architecture i.e. increased federation, increased intrinsic interoperability, increased vendor diversity option, increased business and IT alignment, Increased ROI, Increased Organization agility, reduced IT burden.
• Level of participation in application solution design
• Number of solution compliance issues raised
• Low number of solutions not conforming to business requirements
• Application solution compliance alignment with Enterprise architecture
• Timeliness of approvals related to solution design ( number of open application solution review requests and length of time to complete reviews)
• Number of approved solution designs (low rate of solution rejection)
