Participate in the development and review of academic policies, procedures, regulations and programs.
• Support in coordinating the meetings of Academic Affairs Committee.
• Coordinate the departmental activities to promote, support and celebrate the best and distinctive learning
and teaching practices at MEC.
• Assist Head of the Department in achieving DOP and KPI goals.
• Support the Head of Department to engage in research and continuous learning by identifying and
developing innovative teaching practices.
• Identify potential topics for workshops to be held based on the annual CAP Survey, AAC mandates,
suggestions from academic staff, Head of Departments, External Examiners and subject advisors.
• Coordinate the conduct of Teaching and Learning induction programme for training new academic staff.
• Identify and invite appropriate external presenters for staff development workshops.
• Conduct awareness sessions about the postgraduate certificate (PGCert) and coordinate the residential
workshops for the PGCert programme in collaboration with partner university team.
• Coordinate in house staff development initiatives like workshops and trainings for faculty.
• Collect feedback and measure the effectiveness of workshops and other programmes.
Other duties as assigned from time to time within the scope of the job role.
