• To assist the manager in managing the cafe, as an independent profitable unit and set performance standards, thus achieving maximum guest satisfaction by providing the high standard of Food and Beverage quality, presentation and service required by the company.
• To be efficient and diplomatic in dealing with situations involving any aspect of Food and Beverage where the reputation or image of the company is represented
• To ensure that guest needs and expectations are met by providing an efficient and professional service.
• To liaise with all support departments to provide a consistently high standard of service in the absence of the Outlet Manager, or as directed by him.
• To participate in the formulation and continual upgrading of a Departmental Operations Manuals detailing standards of performance, policies and procedures and service standards pertinent to the efficient operation of the outlet in accordance with the company policy.
• To promote the identity of the outlet, building rapport and a sense of personalized service towards guests.
• To ensure that the Outlets Operational budget is in line and cost are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
• To assist in maximizing profitability of the restaurant by increasing turnover (revenue and covers) as a first priority and controlling food & beverage and other costs as the second priority.
• Constantly strives to develop and increase Sales in order to increase profitability
• To provide management with creative ideas to project and enhance the image of the outlet and the company
• Is continually aware of the Company services and activities to be able to promote the Gourmet Shops offerings and to be responsive to guest enquiries.
• Is fully aware of the Cafe concept in order to promote the café
