Roles & Responsibilities:-
1 Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operations of their respective team/department
2 Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department
3 Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings
4 Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department or project teams
5 Recruit personnel and oversee development and maintenance of staff competence in required areas
6 May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department.
7 Responsible for preparing the budget for the team/department and are accountable for the revenue/expense
8 Monitor area budget and report for changes.
9 Negotiating & placing short / long term service and maintenance contracts.
10 Plan for area’s maintenance and repair programs
11 In-charge for team administration (leave, salaries) and all personal affairs.
12 Plan for team training and development plan.
13 Manage O&M and SOMA contracts and other related project contract
14 Ensure general safety and implement good safety working practices
15 Ensure good implementation of good environmental procedures.
16 Review area qualification books and update them
17 Follow up and liaise with related government agencies all related contractual matters.
