The Heavy Duty Mechanic is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of logistic transport including MAN trucks, TERBERG trucks and Container lifting equipment (Empty handlers, Reach stackers & Top loaders of make KONECRANES). Key responsibilities and activities • Repairs, overhauls, maintains, and services diesel powered vehicles, heavy trucks, Reach Stackers, empty handlers, Top loaders & Forklifts. • Repairs, overhauls, maintains and services fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, engine control systems, major internal engine repairs or overhaul, installation and alignment of engines and machinery. • Repair mechanical transmissions, drive-trains and final drives, vehicle brake systems, wheel-mounted vehicle suspension, steering mechanism and turbo chargers. • Check all heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. • Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics. • Repairs as needed equipment (MAN trucks, TERBERG tractors, KONECRANE lifting equipment like empty handler, top loader & Reach stackers, Engines of make VOLVO , SCANIA, CUMMINS, MAN & Transmissions of make DANA, ALLISON, ZF transmissions). • Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist. • Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples. • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting. • Performing other duties as assigned. • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances. Education & Experience • Qualified heavy duty mechanic with minimum 10 years of trade experience. • Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics. • Experience with routine maintenance operations. • Knowledge of inventory control and inventory systems for parts management Language & Computer Literacy • Very good English verbal & written communication • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
